Job summary

Ventia in Australia is seeking a Storeperson to join the Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC) team in Sydney. You will ensure parts, tools and equipment are received, stored and distributed to support Defence maintenance operations, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

This permanent full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, opportunities for training, and the chance to work in a large national services provider; applicants with stores or warehouse experience and a forklift licence are

Qualifications

• We are looking for a reliable team player with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Experience in stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory roles is required.
• Forklift licence (LF) is mandatory and SAP S/4HANA knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and issuing parts and materials.
• Operating a forklift to load and unload deliveries.
• Managing returned goods and processing delivery documentation.
• Conducting stocktakes and inventory control activities.
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and storage locations.
• Supporting day-to-day warehouse and stores operations.
• Allocating parts and materials to maintenance work orders.

Join our Moorebank team supporting Australia's Defence Force through the Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC). As a Storeperson, you'll play a key role in ensuring parts, tools and equipment are received, managed and distributed to support Defence maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a reliable team player with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.

You will bring:

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory role.


• Current LF Forklift Licence required.


• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving skills.


• Computer literacy and experience using inventory management systems.


• Experience with SAP S/4HANA will be highly regarded.


• Defence industry experience is highly regarded.


• Veterans and Australian Defence Force Reservists are encouraged to apply.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
