Job summary

Ventia is seeking a qualified Fitter-Armourer or Fitter-Turner to join our Defence Maintenance Contract team based in Bandiana, VIC. You will inspect, repair and recondition military hardware while supporting Defence training activities.

With a Trade Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical (Fitter & Turner) and a valid driver's licence, you will work across Defence bases, perform servicing and certify equipment as serviceable. Relocation assistance and wellbeing programs are available.

Qualifications

• Possess a Trade Certificate III Engineering Mechanical (Fitter & Turner) or Certificate III Engineering Mechanic (General Fitter).
• Hold valid Australian Driver's Licence.
• MR or HR Licence - Desirable.
• Physically fit with hands-on mechanical work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, repairs, and preventativ e maintenance on military hardware and Defence armaments.
• Safely operate machinery to repair, manufacture or modify required parts.
• Certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose.
• Occasional support across Defence Bases throughout the state; travel, accommodation and meals provided.

Join Ventia in a role which keeps the Australian Defence Force's wheels turning!

A great opportunity for a Fitter to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based in Bandiana, VIC.

As a qualified Fitter-Armourer or Fitter-Turner, you will use your trade skills and attention to detail to inspect, repair and recondition military hardware. Working closely with Defence personnel, you'll provide direct support to training activities, ensuring equipment remains serviceable and training objectives are achieved.

• $45.71 per hour (inclusive of allowances) + 12% superannuation.
• Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays.

About the role

• Hold valid Australian Driver's Licence.
• MR of HR Licence - Desirable.
• Physically fit with the ability to undertake hands-on mechanical work.

You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
