Qualifications

• Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain Australian Defence Clearance.
• Certification as a trade-qualified Fitter and Turner is mandatory.
• Current Drivers Licence (C Class) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on specialist Defence equipment including military armaments.
• Examine specifications to determine job requirements.
• Operate machines for producing parts or tools.
• Check quality of finished parts and assemble as needed.
• Provide technical advice to equipment operators.
• Repair and maintain miscellaneous equipment including small engines.
• Repair and maintain miscellaneous equipment including small engines, marine equipment.

Mechanical Fitter – Moorebank, NSW

Ventia in partnership with the Australian Defence Force are seeking multiple permanent full-time Fitters to join the team at our state-of-the-art facility in Moorebank NSW.

Job Details

• Location: Moorebank, NSW
• Work schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00am – 3:45pm; Fridays 7:00am – 12:00pm

As Our Fitter, You Will Undertake

• Maintenance on specialist Defence equipment, including installation, inspection, repairs, modification and reconditioning of military armaments, small engines, and general engineering tasks.
• Examine detailed specifications to determine job requirements.
• Operate machines to produce or modify required parts or tools.
• Check quality of finished parts and fit/assemble parts.
• Provide technical advice to equipment operators.
• Conduct relevant data entry tasks.
• Repair and maintain miscellaneous equipment including small engines, general service, and marine equipment.

To Be Successful

• You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain an Australian Defence Clearance.
• Must be a trade qualified Fitter and Turner (Certificate III).
• Hold a current Drivers Licence - C Class.
