Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council in New South Wales is seeking a Fire Safety Liaison to coordinate AFSS reviews, monitor compliance, and support customers and stakeholders. You will work with the Building Team to ensure legislative obligations are met and service delivery is efficient.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate review of Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFSS).
• Monitor fire safety compliance across the local government area.
• Follow up outstanding or missing AFSS submissions.
• Assist with collection of applicable fees and charges.
• Support registered officers with compliance and enforcement processes.
• Maintain records and reporting requirements.
• Communicate obligations to customers, building owners and stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvement in service delivery.
