Job summary

Onezero Financial Systems is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to join our Canberra office in Australia. You will deliver reliable infrastructure and exceptional user support through 24x7 monitoring, proactive management, and high-velocity incident response.

This role covers the full lifecycle of end-user and production systems, from onboarding to maintenance and offboarding, requiring independent judgment in high‑pressure situations, on-call rotation, and collaboration with development teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in IT operations or a similar technical support role.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in high-pressure situations.
• Experience with Windows and Linux server environments and virtualization technologies.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, DNS, DHCP, VPNs; ability to monitor and resolve incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production systems 24x7 and ensure availability.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis; document procedures.
• Coordinate with development teams during outages and escalations.
