Job summary

Perigon Group is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to own financial reporting, controls and compliance in a complex, inventory-intensive environment in Brisbane. You will lead the finance function and partner with stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely statements.

This leadership role offers broad scope, strong governance and a proactive, hands-on approach to drive process improvements and scalable finance operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA or CPA with relevant experience.
• Experience as Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting.
• Proven ownership of full financial statements.
• Governance, controls, audit and compliance experience.
• SOX exposure is valued.
• Inventory accounting in a complex environment.
• Proactive, hands-on leadership and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Lead month-, quarter- and year-end reporting.
• Drive financial control, governance and compliance.

ABOUT YOU

• CA or CPA qualification
• Previous Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or equivalent experience
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise
• Demonstrated ownership of full financial statements
• Strong governance, controls, audit and compliance experience
• Exposure to SOX-controlled environments highly regarded
• Inventory accounting experience within a complex operating environment
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders
• A proactive, hands‑on approach with a continuous improvement mindset
