Job summary

The Breakthrough Office in Sydney is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Sydney team.

You will support financial reporting, budgeting and compliance, maintain the general ledger, perform reconciliations and provide management reporting to optimise performance.

Require a bachelor degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong Excel and accounting software skills, and the ability to work independently within a professional team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with financial statements, reconciliations and management reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, management accounts and periodic reports.
• Maintain general ledger and financial records.
• Prepare and review bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow reporting.
• Monitor revenue and expenditure and overall financial performance.
• Assist with BAS, GST and taxation reporting.
