Job summary

Richard Lloyd Recruitment in Sydney is seeking a Financial Accountant for our client’s high-profile asset management operation. The role sits in the corporate head office, reporting to the Financial Controller, with training and progression opportunities across the finance function.

Hybrid work is available with two days from home after training, in a professional, long-tenured team within a growing international business.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of accounting experience gained in commerce, audit, tax or business services.
• An accounting degree with a solid academic record.
• CA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or significant progress toward completion.
• Permanent Australian working rights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports.
• Supporting annual financial statements, tax returns and other compliance requirements.
• Maintaining and updating financial models.
• Contributing to project budgeting and forecasting.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing portfolio transactions.
• Managing limited AP and AR requirements relating to your assets.
• Partnering with internal stakeholders and contributing to finance projects and process improvements.

The Role

As the Financial Accountant, you will sit in the corporate head office and report to an energizing and talented Financial Controller who has a great track record of developing and mentoring her team. You will be trained up to take on duties that will include (not limited to):

• Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports
• Supporting annual financial statements, tax returns and other compliance requirements
• Maintaining and updating financial models
• Contributing to project budgeting and forecasting
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing portfolio transactions
• Managing limited AP and AR requirements relating to your assets
• Partnering with internal stakeholders and contributing to finance projects and process improvements

Your Background
