Job summary

Localsearch, based in Robina, Australia, is seeking a detail-driven Finance Officer to join the Finance & Accounts team at Head Office. You will manage Accounts Payable, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and assist with month-end close and audits.

The role offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to work across the business. You should have 2–3 years in finance, solid accounting knowledge, and proficiency with financial software.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years’ experience in finance or accounting, ideally AP and reconciliations.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software/tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with suppliers, staff and management.
• Proactive approach and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and employee expense claims accurately and on time, and prepare payment schedules.
• Reconcile bank accounts regularly, investigate discrepancies, and resolve variances.
• Reconcile corporate credit card statements and verify expenses against receipts and policy.
• Be the go-to contact for supplier enquiries and maintain vendor records.
• Support month-end and year-end close, and prepare reports for audits.
• Maintain accurate records across accounts payable, bank and credit card transactions.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with teams to gather information and resolve financial queries.

What will you do?

We’re looking for a detail-driven Finance Officer to join our Finance & Accounts team at our Head Office in Robina. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll look after Accounts Payable, bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations, keeping our numbers accurate, our suppliers paid on time and our books audit-ready.

• Partner with teams across the business to gather information and resolve financial queries.

Who are you & what will you bring?

You’re an organised, analytical finance professional who loves the detail and enjoys working with people across the business. You’re just as comfortable owning your work independently as you are being part of a close-knit team.

Required:

• 2–3 years’ experience in finance or accounting, ideally across accounts payable and reconciliations.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence dealing with suppliers, staff and management.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have:

• A qualification in accounting, finance or commerce (completed or currently studying).
• Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or NetSuite.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience supporting month-end close or audits in a fast-paced business.
