Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a commercially minded finance professional to take ownership of its finance function and support growth from Melbourne. The role suits an experienced Finance Manager or senior Site Accountant seeking broader leadership and hands-on financial control combined with business partnering.

You will work closely with the leadership team to provide meaningful insights, improve reporting processes and drive informed decision-making across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Site Accountant or similar role
• Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, food production or a related industry
• Strong management reporting, budgeting and forecasting capability
• Experience partnering with non-finance stakeholders
• A hands-on approach and willingness to operate across both strategic and transactional activities
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of the finance function
• Monthly management reporting and analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
• Financial planning and performance analysis
• Partnering with operational and commercial stakeholders
• Monitoring business performance and identifying improvement opportunities
• Managing compliance, controls and statutory requirements
• Supporting strategic business initiatives and decision-making
