Unitywater is offering a Field Services Officer role based at our Maroochydore head office. You will travel across the region to verify meter readings, inspect meter conditions, and resolve access issues to ensure accurate metering data for customer billing and service delivery.

This hands-on field position suits self-starters who can plan daily workloads, maintain records, and work safely outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• You hold a current C Class Driver Licence.
• Experience in field-based work, inspections, data collection or similar roles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and mobile apps for record keeping.
• Ability to plan daily workload and travel routes.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and environments, with safety focus.

About the role:

As a Field Services Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the accuracy and reliability of Unitywater’s metering services. Working in the field, you will undertake site visits to verify meter readings, assess meter condition and compliance, identify access issues and investigate discrepancies in metering data.

You will work closely with internal teams and external service providers, plan daily work schedules, maintain accurate records and help ensure our metering information supports reliable customer billing and service delivery. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working independently in the field while contributing to a close-knit team.

This is a 12 month maximum term contract with potential for permanency based at our Maroochydore head office to start as soon as possible.

About The Team

You will be part of a small, collaborative team within Customer Experience, reporting to the Metering Services Manager. The team works closely with Metering Services Officers, Computershare, ETS Water Meter Readers and Field Officers to support accurate meter reading information and effective service delivery. We value teamwork, open communication, safety and accountability, and support each other to resolve issues and deliver positive outcomes for our customers.
