Job summary

Fluence, a global leader in energy storage and optimization software, is seeking an experienced Field Service Electrician to support our BESS and HV/MV/LV systems in Wellington, NSW. The role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, and high-voltage operations across renewable projects, with emphasis on safety and quality.

You will travel to project sites, interpret technical drawings, and collaborate with project teams to ensure reliable performance and timely handovers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in energy, engineering and/or battery storage.
• Current A-Class Electrician License with HV experience.
• Proven experience in renewable energy with maintenance practices for renewable systems.
• Strong knowledge of HV switching and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform field service, inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs on BESS and HV/MV/LV systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site technical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct and oversee high-voltage switching operations in safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation including HV switching records and maintenance logs.
• Provide technical support during commissioning including testing and validation of new BESS installations.
• Collaborate with project managers and commissioning teams for smooth project handover.
• Prepare reports and update technical documentation.
• Stay current with industry standards and best practices relating to BESS operations.
