Job summary

Fluence is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on BESS and associated HV/MV/LV systems across project sites in Australia. You will troubleshoot complex issues, conduct HV switching, and maintain rigorous safety and documentation standards.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in energy or battery storage, an A-Class Electrician license, and strong collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in energy, engineering or battery storage field.
• Current A-Class Electrician License with HV experience.
• Proven experience in renewable energy sector and maintenance practices.
• Proficiency in HV switching and safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and field service on BESS and HV/MV/LV systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with diagnostic tools.
• Conduct HV switching in line with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain maintenance, switching, permit and technical records.
• Support commissioning activities, testing, validation, and optimization of new installations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders for safe operations.
• Prepare reports, maintenance schedules and update technical documentation.
