Job summary

Dematic Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated Industrial Electrician to join our Field Service team in Sydney. You will perform contract repairs, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Sydney region.

The role requires self-motivation, strong customer focus and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Overtime, weekend work and on-call duties may be required as part of a rotating roster.

Qualifications

• Australian Electrical trade licence/qualification is mandatory.
• PLC experience is desirable.
• Experience in automation with conveyors and material handling equipment is highly regarded.
• Experience using CMMS software.
• Experience with pneumatic systems is preferred.
• Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions, results driven.
• Strong understanding of OHS requirements and safe work practices.
• Current driver’s licence is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and solve equipment faults with a customer-focused approach.
• Deliver NSW support including contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services.
• Participate in rotating on-call roster and work overtime including weekends if required.
• Operate within a permanent day shift, with possible afternoon shifts to support operations.

Tasks and Qualifications

In order to be successful in this role, you must have experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults, be customer focused and ensure high quality service and output is delivered.

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications & experience:

• Australian Electrical trade licence/qualification (mandatory)

• PLC experience (desirable but not required)

• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded

• Experience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)

• Experience in pneumatic systems

• Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven

• Strong understanding of OHS requirements and adopt safe work practices

• Current driver’s license mandatory

• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills

• The ability to develop and maintain effective on-going relationships
