Job summary

Dematic Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our field service team. This hands-on role involves delivering NSW support including repair, maintenance, installations and emergency breakdowns for Dematic customers.

The successful candidate will work on the Sydney region, on a rotating on-call roster, and may require overtime including weekends. A current electrical licence, PLC/automation exposure, CMMS experience and a valid driver's license are preferred; tools, vehicle

Qualifications

• Australian Electrical trade licence/qualification is mandatory.
• PLC experience is desirable but not required.
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment is highly regarded.
• Experience in CMMS.
• Experience in pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven.
• Strong understanding of OHS requirements and safe work practices.
• Current driver’s licence is mandatory.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective ongoing relationships.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment faults and perform preventative maintenance.
• Deliver high-quality service to Dematic customers in the Sydney region.
• Install and commission equipment as required.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and participate in the on-call roster.
• Support operations with overtime including weekends when required.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and talented Industrial Electrician to join our team as a Field Service Technician Sydney.

This is a hands on customer service role that requires a self-motivated and customer focused individual. The role will help to deliver NSW support – including contract repair, preventative maintenance, installations and emergency breakdown services for Dematic customers in the Sydney region. The position will require participation in the rotating on-call roster and must be flexible to work overtime including Saturdays and Sundays if required.

This is a permanent day shift position but you may be required to work afternoon shifts to support operations where required.

Tasks and Qualifications:

In order to be successful in this role, you must have experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults, be customer focused and ensure high quality service and output is delivered.

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications & experience:

• Australian Electrical trade licence/qualification (mandatory)
• PLC experience (desirable but not required)
• Experience in automation (conveyors) and material handling equipment highly regarded
• Experience in computerised maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Experience in pneumatic systems
• Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions and be results driven
• Strong understanding of OHS requirements and adopt safe work practices
• Current driver’s license mandatory
• Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
• The ability to develop and maintain effective on‑going relationships
