Job summary

FLSmidth is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair FLS equipment to OEM standards at customer sites and in workshops across Mackay and the broader region.

You will conduct routine inspections, perform fault diagnosis and repairs, support commissioning, and complete detailed service reports with photographic evidence, while maintaining strong customer relationships and a proactive safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification is essential.
• Previous experience in a field service role.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete clear and accurate service reports are essential. You will be responsible for safely servicing and repairing FLS equipment to OEM standards, ensuring high levels of reliability and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
• Attending breakdowns and performing fault diagnosis and repairs
• Supporting commissioning activities and customer site requirements
• Completing detailed service reports, including photographic evidence and recommendations
• Maintaining strong relationships with customers through clear and professional communication
• Working both in the workshop and on customer sites as required
