FLSmidth in Mackay region, Queensland, is seeking a Trades Assistant to strip, assess, refurbish and assemble mining equipment in a hands-on workshop. You will work safely and collaboratively to deliver first-time quality outcomes while following approved procedures and drawings.

Essential requirements include a forklift licence, current driver’s licence and ability to work in a team; an HRW licence is desirable.

About the Role

As a Trades Assistant, you will play a key role in the stripping, assessment, refurbishment, repair and assembly of OEM mining and mineral processing equipment. Working within a safety-first environment, you will ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with FLS quality and workmanship expectations. This is a hands-on workshop-based role suited to someone who takes pride in delivering first-time quality outcomes and enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
