Job summary

FLSmidth is seeking a skilled Site Service Fitter to work on major mining sites with travel covered. The role is a Monday to Friday schedule, with a company-provided ute and PPE, and a focus on safety and high equipment availability.

You will conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs both on-site and in the workshop, respond to breakdowns, and deliver clear reports to clients. Strong teamwork and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Mechanical trade qualification required.
• Valid Driver's Licence is essential.
• Hands-on field service experience on mining sites preferred.
• Experience with screens, centrifuges, sizers/crushers and centrifugal pumps (Krebs, Warman, Metso).
• Clear safety-focused work history and ability to report findings.

Ready for your next challenge? We are looking for a skilled and safety-focused Site Service Fitter to join our high-performing team. You'll work on major mining sites Monday to Friday, with all travel covered.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on customer sites and in the workshop
• Respond promptly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal operational disruptions
• Provide detailed photographic reports and maintenance recommendations to clients
• Maintain high equipment availability through efficient planning and execution
• Uphold strict safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Work effectively within a team environment, collaborating to achieve optimal results
• Be comfortable working away from home Monday to Friday as required for site-based work

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Mechanical trade qualifications (essential) and valid Driver's Licence
• Hands-on experience with screens and centrifuge, sizers and crushers and centrifugal pumps (Krebs, Warman, Metso)
• Previous experience in a field service role
• Clean track record in the mining industry
• Computer literacy for report generation and communication
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving work requirements
• Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
