Service Technician – Industrial Dispensing and Mixing Equipment

Employment: Full-time

Salary: AUD $85,000 per annum plus superannuation

Inkmaker Australia is seeking a technically minded Service Technician to support the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of industrial dispensing, mixing and colour-management equipment.

This role involves working with our technical team and visiting customer sites to maintain equipment performance, diagnose mechanical faults and provide practical technical support.

Key responsibilities

* Install, assemble and commission dispensing and mixing equipment in accordance with technical drawings and manufacturer specifications.

* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and pneumatic faults.

* Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, component replacement and calibration.

* Conduct equipment tests, record results and verify performance against operating specifications.

* Identify recurring faults and recommend corrective action in consultation with the engineering and technical support teams.

* Interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals and service documentation.

* Provide customers with guidance on equipment operation and routine maintenance.

* Coordinate service visits, spare parts and technical support with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

* Maintain accurate service reports, test results and maintenance records.

* Follow workplace health and safety procedures and manufacturer requirements.

* Travel to customer sites for installations, scheduled servicing and breakdown support.

Electrical work requiring a licence will be undertaken by appropriately licensed personnel.

Qualifications and experience

* At least one year of relevant experience in machinery installation, commissioning, maintenance or technical servicing.

* Practical knowledge of mechanical equipment, pneumatic systems and fault diagnosis.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals.

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Clear communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.

* Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical teams.

* Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Experience with industrial dispensing, mixing, tinting or automated manufacturing equipment will be highly regarded.
