Job summary

Marble Group in Cairns is seeking a hands-on trade technician to service and repair a mixed forklift and access equipment fleet across the Cairns metro area. This permanent role offers a structured day pattern, typically Mon–Fri with around eight hours and some flexibility, plus a field service vehicle, laptop, phone and tooling.

You’ll perform scheduled servicing, diagnose faults, and carry out hydraulic and electrical repairs, with occasional days in the workshop.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in LV or HD mechanics.
• Forklift/access equipment experience a bonus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hydraulics/electrical awareness.
• Able to work independently in the field and solve problems.
• Physically fit for hands-on field work.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on service and repair across a mixed fleet.
• Occasional day in the workshop.
• Scheduled servicing and PM work.
• Component change-outs and equipment upgrades.
• Breakdowns, fault finding and diagnostics.
• Warranty work and job documentation.
• Occasional workshop shifts.
