Job summary

Fork Force Australia is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to service, maintain, inspect and repair a wide range of materials handling equipment. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and support customers in both field and workshop environments.

With a strong emphasis on safety, quality and documentation, you will read technical manuals, work independently or with a team, keep detailed service records and participate in ongoing training and career development

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mobile Plant Technology or related field is preferred.
• Experience servicing and repairing forklifts, access equipment, construction equipment or similar machinery is advantageous.
• Strong diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, repairs and maintenance on materials handling equipment and associated machinery.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Complete breakdown repairs in both workshop and field environments.
• Install, commission and test equipment as required.
• Provide technical support and advice to customers regarding operation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate service records, job documentation and parts usage.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to achieve customer and operational objectives.
• Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times.
