Job summary

Marble Group in Cairns is seeking a hands-on trade technician to service and repair a mixed forklift and access equipment fleet across the Cairns metro area. This permanent role offers a structured day pattern, typically Mon–Fri with around eight hours and some flexibility, plus a field service vehicle, laptop, phone and tooling.

You’ll perform scheduled servicing, diagnose faults, and carry out hydraulic and electrical repairs, with occasional days in the workshop.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in LV or HD mechanics.
• Forklift/access equipment experience a bonus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hydraulics/electrical awareness.
• Able to work independently in the field and solve problems.
• Physically fit for hands-on field work.

Job description

Permanent role with a well-known national forklift and access equipment specialist, working across the Cairns metro area on a mix of modern and well-established machinery.

• Mon-Fri with about 8 hour days (some flexibility)
• Field service vehicle, laptop, phone and tooling supplied
• Mostly field-based, servicing local clients
• Upskilling on a range of forklift and access equipment

What You'll Need

A solid trade background with the confidence to work independently out in the field.

• Trade qualified in LV or HD mechanics
• Forklift/access equipment experience a bonus
• Strong mechanical knowledge, some hydraulics/electrical
• Comfortable working solo and problem-solving
• Physically fit for hands-on field work
