Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking a Field Service Foreman to lead our Construction Industries field service operations across Rockhampton and Gladstone. You will manage a team of Field Service Technicians, coordinate labour, parts and logistics, and ensure a safe, high-quality service delivery for our CIT customers.

The role requires leadership, CAT product knowledge, and strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications including Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent diesel fitter trade.
• Experience with CAT machinery, systems and diagnostic tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to build relationships and manage expectations.
• Safety-first approach with high WHS standards.
• Valid driver’s licence to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support a team of Field Service Technicians.
• Act as the primary point of contact for CIT customer service enquiries across Rockhampton and Gladstone.
• Coordinate labour, parts, tooling and logistics to support field repairs and maintenance.
• Assist technicians with diagnostics, troubleshooting and technical support.
• Manage daily work schedules and resource allocation to meet customer requirements.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Hastings Deering standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the field service operation.
• Collaborate closely with service, parts and planning teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
