Job summary

Hastings Deering is seeking a customer-focused Field Service Foreman to lead our Construction Industries field service operations across Rockhampton and Gladstone. You will provide leadership, technical support and coordination for a team of Field Service Technicians, ensuring safe, efficient and high-quality service delivery to our CIT customers.

As a Field Service Foreman, you will lead and coach the team, act as the main contact for CIT enquiries, coordinate labour, parts and logistics, and

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications – Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent diesel fitter trade.
• Caterpillar product knowledge – experience working on CAT machinery, systems and diagnostic tooling.
• Strong troubleshooting skills – diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults independently.
• Customer-focused mindset – build relationships, manage expectations and provide updates.
• Safety-first approach – maintain high WHS standards.
• Valid driver’s licence – travel between customer sites across the Rockhampton region.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and support a team of Field Service Technicians.
• Act as the primary point of contact for CIT customer service enquiries across Rockhampton and Gladstone.
• Coordinate labour, parts, tooling and logistics to support field repairs and maintenance.
• Assist technicians with diagnostics, troubleshooting and technical support.
• Manage daily work schedules and resource allocation to meet customer requirements.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Hastings Deering standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the field service operation.
• Collaborate closely with service, parts and planning teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes.
