Job summary

JBT Marel Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our valued customers across Australia, delivering on-site maintenance, installations and optimised performance of advanced processing equipment in the poultry industry.

You will troubleshoot, repair and calibrate systems, work with a supportive team, and grow your technical expertise through hands-on service at customer sites and in the office. A proactive, customer-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Trade certified Electrical/Mechanical.
• Read electrical & mechanical schematics.
• Proficient in using computers.
• Food industry background.
• Work autonomously and takes initiative.
• Read P&IDs and manuals.
• PLC programming knowledge - Siemens & Allen Bradley software is preferred.
• Sales Force experience is preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and out of hours.
• Ideally based within 1-2 hours travel time of a capital city or major regional airport.

Responsibilities

• Work in a supportive team with experienced coworkers, both at customer sites and in the office, who will teach you all the knowledge they have about our machines.
• Prepare, execute and report preventative equipment maintenance visits.
• Attend customers sites to conduct service visits.
• Troubleshoot production issues at customers' sites.
• Complete on-site evaluations, install machine enhancements, and appropriately test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Ensure that the JBT Marel experience for customers match the JBT Marel promise of superior performance, service, and quality with outstanding communication skills as you work closely with customer management, supervisors, etc.
• Troubleshoot and perform break fix services to high technology food processing equipment.
