Job summary

Moorabbin Timber is seeking a proactive Sales Representative & Store Promoter to grow the customer base in local Bayside areas. You will visit builders and tradespeople, promote timber and hardware products, and follow up opportunities with the store team.

The role emphasizes both field sales and local marketing activities in a friendly, family-owned environment. You will use our CRM to track visits and quotes, build relationships, and contribute to social media storytelling.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months of customer-facing experience in timber, hardware, building supplies or similar.
• Able to learn CRM systems and digital tools.
• Comfortable with local marketing activities and social media.
• Willing to move from retail/trade to field sales and build a long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Identify and approach local builders, renovators, tradespeople and projects.
• Visit sites, make calls, seek referrals and introduce Moorabbin Timber.
• Understand customer needs and promote suitable products.
• Arrange store visits, quotes and first orders.
• Build relationships and convert prospects into regular customers.
• Maintain customer records and report weekly on sales activity.
• Promote store products, stock availability, drive-through yard and delivery service.
