Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Field Project Controls Manager for a greenfield mining project based in Weipa, Queensland. You will lead the field project controls team, implement cost and schedule controls, and report to project management and clients.

You will apply extensive experience in cost engineering, scheduling, and project controls on major construction projects in the resource sector, guiding teams and driving project performance across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13–15 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, 17–19 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field project controls team and implement controls systems.
• Review earned revenue data, financial summaries, and cost controls.
• Plan staffing for field team and monitor scheduling issues.
• Present field progress reports and perform analyses.
• Direct project controls policy and standards.
• Coordinate data for negotiations and client management.
• Develop training and mentor staff.
• Conduct performance reviews and hiring recommendations.
• Liaise with management to align workload and processes.
• Prepare TIC cost forecasts and project estimates.
