Job summary

Amazon is hiring an IT Support Engineer to deploy and maintain the technology infrastructure powering fulfilment and logistics across Australia. The role involves hands-on work at new sites and upgrades, with significant travel to multiple locations.

You will manage deployments end-to-end, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior staff as sites go live. A field- and project-focused role demanding rigorous safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
• 2+ years of networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI, TCP/IP).
• Experience with hardware deployment and IT infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Experience coordinating vendors, contractors, or service providers.
• CCNA or CompTIA Network+ certification is desirable.
• Experience with Linux in a corporate setting.
• Experience across multiple sites or deployment projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT infrastructure projects for new site launches, retrofits and upgrades.
• Install, configure, and commission network equipment, workstations, printers, scanners, and OT on-site.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships during deployments, ensuring quality and safety.
• Coordinate with Operations, Construction, Facilities, and Safety teams to align IT delivery with site timelines.
• Validate deployments against acceptance criteria before handover to support teams.
• Own project documentation including progress reports and lessons learned.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians during deployment phases.
