Job summary

Amazon is hiring an IT Support Engineer to deploy and maintain the technology infrastructure that powers fulfilment and logistics operations across Australia. This role spans full lifecycle IT delivery from site readiness to handover, with hands-on work on network gear, workstations, and OT at warehouses.

The position blends field engineering with project coordination and includes coordinating with vendor partners, construction, and operations to meet site launch timelines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
• 2+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI model, TCP/IP).
• Experience with hardware deployment, configuration, and IT lifecycle management.
• Experience coordinating or managing third-party vendors, contractors, or service providers.
• CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent networking certification.
• Experience with PC repair, liquidation, and asset management.
• Experience with Linux operating systems in a corporate environment.
• Experience working across multiple sites or in a deployment/project-based capacity.
• Experience with asset management and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT infrastructure projects for new site launches, retrofits, and technology upgrades across Amazon’s Australian fulfilment and logistics network.
• Install, configure, and commission network equipment, workstations, printers, scanners, and operational technology on-site.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships during deployments, ensuring work quality, schedule adherence, and safety compliance.
• Coordinate with Operations, Construction, Facilities, and Safety teams to align IT delivery with broader site launch timelines.
• Validate completed deployments against acceptance criteria before handing over to steady-state support teams.
• Own project documentation including progress reporting, as-built records, and lessons learned.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians during deployment phases.
