Job summary

Whizdom is seeking an experienced Field Infrastructure Engineer to support a critical Federal Government ICT program in Australia. You will operate within a specialist infrastructure team, focusing on data centres and field infrastructure, combining hands-on delivery with design, incident management, troubleshooting and change coordination.

You will coordinate infrastructure changes, manage data centre requirements, provide architectural guidance, and lead major incident response activities.

Qualifications

• Experience across ICT infrastructure, data centres, networking.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement ICT infrastructure changes, installations and technical activities.
• Manage data centre requirements including rack allocation, power utilisation and cabling.
• Provide infrastructure architecture, operational design and technical advice to project teams.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and lead major incident response and recovery activities.
• Identify service improvements across reliability, security, supportability and operational efficiency.
• Work with Project Managers to schedule deliverables, manage risks and deliver against critical milestones.
