Job summary

Youi Insurance is seeking a Home Assessor to inspect damaged homes, determine repair methods, and document findings to move repairs forward. The role involves travel across Rockhampton, Mackay and surrounding areas, plus desktop assessments from time to time.

You will explain outcomes to customers in person, manage your daily schedule of active claims, and use our online systems to prepare reports. Catastrophe events may require travel to affected regions, ensuring timely and accurate

Qualifications

• Experience as an Insurance assessor, Loss adjuster, Builder, Restoration Specialist or Estimator
• Desktop Home Assessing or Home Claims Management experience
• Strong customer-facing skills and ability to explain outcomes clearly

Responsibilities

• Inspect the damage onsite and document the repair method to progress the claim
• Walk through scopes with builders and keep repairs moving when timelines or methods are challenged
• Explain outcomes to customers face-to-face and guide them through next steps
• Manage daily run sheets of claims, balance inspections, scope creation, follow-ups and documentation
• Use online systems daily to complete reports
• National travel may be required during catastrophe events
