Job summary

Sydney Water is seeking a Trade Waste Compliance Specialist to manage field-based relationships with commercial customers across Potts Hill, St Marys, Ryde and surrounding depots. You will drive onboarding, monitor compliance, and deliver expert guidance to optimise waste water management and sustainability.

The role focuses on building trusted partnerships, delivering strategic support, and expanding trade waste services while ensuring adherence to regulatory and contractual commitments.

Qualifications

Experience communicating complex regulatory concepts to stakeholders.
Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.
Experience in regulated industries or trade waste is desirable.

Responsibilities

Represent Sydney Water in onboarding business customers and manage potentially challenging discussions with professionalism.
Act as primary relationship lead for low to medium-risk business customers, ensuring long-term success.
Ensure customers meet contractual obligations and maintain compliance with trade waste agreements.
Assess, implement, and monitor trade waste discharge approvals and track compliance.
