Central Highlands Water is seeking a qualified professional to manage trade waste and backflow prevention compliance for our commercial customers. You will act as a primary contact to build strong relationships and support regulatory obligations.

The role emphasizes safety, stakeholder engagement, and applying strong technical knowledge to protect water assets and the environment, with a hybrid work option in Ballarat and flexible arrangements.

Qualificações

• tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV minimum) in a relevant discipline and/or extensive water infrastructure, water and sewerage systems, trade waste management and wastewater treatment experience in a similar public sector organisation.
• Demonstrated capacity to quickly develop knowledge to carry out key responsibilities.
• Strong scientific background or understanding of trade waste management, treatment process risks and requirements.
• High level computer competency utilising a range of business applications; and
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships and rapport with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure CHW’s customers are aware of and comply with their obligations set out in approvals and regulations, focusing on trade waste and backflow prevention.
• Act as a point of contact for customers and manage relationships within trade waste and backflow prevention programs.
• Ensure regulatory obligations and compliance frameworks for trade waste management and backflow prevention are met to protect assets and environment.
• Support engagement programs with customers related to trade waste, backflow prevention and water efficiency.
