Singleton Council is seeking a proactive Liquid Trade Waste Officer to join our Water and Sewer team and manage liquid trade waste activities in line with regulatory and environmental requirements. You will assess applications, issue approvals, conduct site inspections, provide technical advice, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with businesses, agencies and internal stakeholders.

This permanent, full-time role offers a base salary in the stated range, a vehicle allowance, 12%

Formación

• Experience and knowledge of trade waste and sewerage systems.
• Knowledge of water, sewerage and environmental legislation and regulations.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Sound computer and record-management skills.
• Current Class C Driver Licence.

Responsabilidades

• Manage liquid trade waste activities and balance regulatory/environmental requirements with customer outcomes.
• Assess liquid trade waste applications, issue approvals and conditions.
• Conduct site inspections and compliance sampling.
• Provide specialist technical advice and input into building/development applications.
• Respond to operational issues and customer enquiries; maintain accurate records and registers.
• Progress priority inspections, address compliance matters and review/renew approvals.
• Support development/improvement of liquid trade waste, backflow prevention and water carting programs.
