Job summary

Dunlop Tyre Australia Pty Ltd seeks a Business Development Manager to cover South East Queensland, Northern NSW and Far North Queensland. This field-based role requires strong relationship building, account development and travel across the region.

The successful candidate will manage territory plans, engage with customers and collaborate with Sales Management to drive growth and brand presence for Dunlop and Falken across the territory.

Qualifications

• Tyre industry or automotive aftermarket experience.
• Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.
• Proven experience managing customer expectations in a B2B and/or B2C environment.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and computer literacy skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Teams and digital communication platforms.
• Strong planning, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with customers across your territory.
• Grow programme participation and identify new business opportunities.
• Understand customer challenges, local market conditions and growth opportunities.
• Develop and maintain structured territory and travel plans.
• Review sales performance, customer activity and growth opportunities using company reporting tools and Excel.
• Conduct customer reviews and training on Dunlop and Falken products.
• Conduct tyre inspections and discuss wear patterns, fitment and application suitability.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends and customer feedback.
• Provide market intelligence and customer insights to the wider business.
• Manage customer expectations and follow through on commitments.
• Represent Dunlop and Falken brands professionally at all times.
