Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Business Development Manager - Install to drive adoption of exterior solutions across New South Wales. You will work with builders, installers, and supply-and-install partners, delivering hands-on capability programs, installer training, and practical construction guidance to support regional sales growth.

A field-based role includes a fully maintained company vehicle and regular travel across Sydney Metro, Illawarra, and Newcastle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential construction or installation-related roles.
• Understanding of exterior cladding systems and installation sequencing.
• Qualified in Carpentry Cert III and/or Building and Construction Cert IV.
• Ability to train and enable installers and engage with builders.

Responsibilities

• Execute install programs locally to grow installer capacity, capability and confidence in the NSW market.
• Recruit, onboard, and support installers through install and capability programs.
• Manage state-based supply and install accounts, driving product adoption and training participation.
• Collaborate with account managers to support brick conversion programs and site-readiness input.
• Build relationships with builder supervisors and site teams to support project delivery and installation practices.
• Deliver local training and market activation initiatives for product knowledge and site execution.
• Promote quality, safety, and best-practice installation outcomes through site support and Zero Harm principles.
• Identify market opportunities and barriers to adoption with state sales and segment program owners.
