Job summary

Care n Help is recruiting a casual support worker to assist with daily living tasks, personal care and community participation for clients with disability. The role includes transporting or accompanying clients as needed and ensuring safety and wellbeing.

Applicants must have a Car, 100 points of ID, a relevant qualification or equivalent experience, and must have the right to work in Australia with CPR/First Aid. Police check and two references are required.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in disability or community support or equivalent qualification.
• Right to work in Australia.
• Current First Aid Certificate or CPR.
• Driver license and access to an insured vehicle.
• 2 references are required.
• National Police check is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with everyday living including personal care, washing, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and shopping.
• Facilitate community inclusion and participation based on client’s needs and preferences.
• Assist with client’s physical and mobility requirements.
• Demonstrate professional behaviour and client-centered care.
• Follow agency policies and procedures to ensure wellbeing and safety of clients.

Job description

We are looking for a hardworking female support worker who's available every Tuesday from 6:30am to 4pm and can start asap. Duties include assisting with household tasks and personal care, dropping off and picking up kids at school and arranging shopping.

Salary:

$ 37-41 per hour depending on experience and qualification.

Job responsibilities:

• Support client with everyday living e.g. Personal care, washing, cleaning, laundry, preparing and cooking meals, shopping, music and outdoor activities, etc.
• Facilitate community inclusion and participation based on client’s needs and preferences
• Assist with client’s physical and mobility requirements
• Demonstrate positive and professional behavior
• Promote and facilitate person-centered care
• Ensure the wellbeing and safety of the clients and perform the duty of care.
• Follow Care n Help policies and procedures.

Requirements are:

• Must have a car
• 100 points ID
• Certificate III/IV in disability or community support or equivalent qualification or equivalent experience
• Have the right to work in Australia
• Have current First Aid Certificate or CPR or equivalent
• Have driver license and access to an insured vehicle
• Character References at least 2
• Have or willing to obtain a National Police check
