Job summary

YH Support is seeking Disability Support Workers to join our team in Logan, Rochedale, Springfield Lakes, Woodridge, QLD and surrounding areas. This casual role involves providing compassionate care to clients with disabilities and supporting independence and wellbeing.

You will assist with personal care, daily living tasks, and community activities while documenting progress and collaborating with the care team. A current driver's license and a person-centred approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care, or equivalent relevant experience
• Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities
• Current driver's license and access to reliable transport

Responsibilities

• Assisting clients with personal care, such as showering, dressing, and grooming
• Helping clients with household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry
• Accompanying and supporting clients in the community, such as during social outings or appointments
• Providing emotional support and engaging clients in meaningful activities
• Documenting client progress and communicating with the broader care team
• Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols
