Job summary

YH Support is seeking a Female Disability Support Worker for high physical needs and active night shifts in Maudsland, QLD and surrounding areas. This casual role involves compassionate care to clients with disabilities while supporting daily living activities.

You will assist with personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and accompany clients in the community, while documenting progress and maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care or equivalent
• Experience providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and empathy with a genuine desire to help others
• Reliable, flexible and able to work weekends and public holidays
• Current driver’s licence and access to reliable transport

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care such as showering, dressing and grooming
• Support with household tasks including meal preparation, cleaning and laundry
• Accompany clients in the community for social outings or appointments
• Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful activities
• Document client progress and communicate with the care team
• Adhere to policies, procedures and safety protocols

Female Disability Support Worker (High Physical Needs/Active Nights)

YH Support is seeking Female Disability Support Workers for high intensity participant involving manual handling, implementing seizure management plan and personal care to join our team in Maudsland, QLD and surrounding areas. Currently recruiting for Active Nights and Weekday Evenings. This is a casual role that will involve providing compassionate and high-quality care to our clients with disabilities. You will work closely with our clients to assist them with daily living activities and support their independence and wellbeing.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with personal care, such as showering, dressing, and grooming

Helping clients with household tasks, including meal preparation, cleaning, and laundry

Accompanying and supporting clients in the community, such as during social outings or appointments

Providing emotional support and engaging clients in meaningful activities

Documenting client progress and communicating with the broader care team

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care, or equivalent relevant experience

Experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others

Reliable, flexible, and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

A current driver's license and access to reliable transport
