Job summary

Macquarie University's Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences seeks a Faculty Operations Manager to lead operational and administrative services across the Faculty. You will oversee budgets, staff development, and stakeholder engagement to enable teaching, research and clinical activity on a connected North Ryde campus.

You will guide strategic initiatives, coordinate across university teams, and ensure service excellence while supporting senior leadership and committees.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive management experience.
• Experience building and guiding high-performing teams.
• Ability to plan strategically and operationally across a diverse portfolio.
• Experience in a management team and service-oriented environment.
• Experience delivering end-to-end operational and strategic projects.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage financial and physical resources in HE/healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Faculty level Operations team and oversee performance.
• Develop the annual Faculty budget with input from key stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations and budget management.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations at Faculty level and resolve issues.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships across the Faculty and University.
• Represent the Faculty in university-wide initiatives to improve service delivery.
• Support planning and implementation of Faculty-wide initiatives.
• Provide high-quality advice to senior Faculty stakeholders.
