The Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences (FMHHS) is seeking a Faculty Operations Manager to strengthen how operational and administrative services are planned and delivered across the Faculty. This is an opportunity to shape the priorities, service standards, ways of working and relationships that make operational support genuinely effective.
Working closely with the Head of Faculty Operations and a wide range of stakeholders, you’ll sit at the point where strategy becomes day‑to‑day delivery. From budget planning and resourcing through to staff and student lifecycle administration, you’ll make sure the operational foundations are in place so academic colleagues can focus on world‑class education, research and clinical activity.
If you enjoy bringing order to complexity, guiding a service‑focused team and being the person people turn to for considered advice, this role offers genuine scope to influence outcomes across one of Australia’s most ambitious health faculties.
As Faculty Operations Manager, you will manage, plan and deliver operational and administrative services across the Faculty, as a key part of its operational services delivery model.
Your responsibilities will include:
Macquarie University’s Faculty of Medicine, Health and Human Sciences builds on our aspiration to have the nation’s first fully integrated Academic Health Sciences Centre under a university’s leadership. It brings together the excellent work of medical and allied‑health clinicians and researchers across the University and around the country, with unparalleled access to the world‑leading clinical resources and research facilities found only on our campus.
Our Faculty Operations team is the engine room behind that ambition – enabling teaching, research and clinical activity through planning, financial stewardship, systems and service excellence, all delivered on a connected campus in North Ryde.
You are an experienced operations or administration professional who is at ease in a complex, people‑focused environment. You plan with the long view in mind, yet remain comfortable in the detail – and you bring a calm, service‑oriented approach to guiding a team and advising senior stakeholders. Experience in higher education, health or another multifaceted professional setting is highly desired.
