Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd is seeking a Facility Operations Center Engineer to begin a pivotal role in the 24x7 monitoring of data center infrastructure. You will collaborate with software, hardware, and network teams to uphold reliability, safety, and a superior customer experience across AWS data centers.

The ideal candidate combines data center facilities experience with leadership and strong coordination skills, and is comfortable with weekend/holiday shift work in a large-scale

Qualifications

• 3+ years of vendor management experience.
• 4+ years of data center or other critical environment experience.
• 5+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.
• 5+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the global data center Amazon facilities infrastructure platform
• Serves as a Point of Contact for internal and external teams
• Assists with the development of communication and escalation protocols designed to improve the team’s performance
• Contributes to outage post mortem analysis
• Ensures records are updated in a timely manner
• Assists with coordination and communication during emergency recovery efforts
• Assists with the development of tools that will enhance the team’s performance
• Ability to support a 24X7 environment (This is shift work which requires that you work weekends and holidays)
