Job summary

Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd seeks a Facilities Operations Centre (FOC) leader to run a 24x7 operations hub for Australia’s national cloud infrastructure. You’ll drive real-time data into decisive action, maintain uninterrupted service, and lead a growing team across multiple sites and time zones.

Role requires a safety-conscious leader, strong coordination, and a focus on operational excellence for mission-critical facilities. Based in Sydney with shift work including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ years of construction or project management, or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical engineering experience.
• 2+ years of data center engineering or operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Be the operational heartbeat of our data centre infrastructure and translate real-time data into decisive actions.
• Monitor the facilities infrastructure platform and coordinate with internal/external teams for clarity and calm leadership.
• Contribute to outage post-mortem analysis and strengthen systems with improved protocols and tools.
• Coordinate emergency recovery across teams and time zones, ensuring information is available at the right time.
• Mentor and develop the next generation of operations professionals to raise the team's benchmark.
