Job summary

Housing Choices Australia is a not-for-profit housing provider committed to safe and affordable homes. The Facilities Manager role oversees CBD Perth operations for 219 apartments, including maintenance, safety, contractor management and budget control, ensuring a high-quality living environment and asset value.

You will lead planned and reactive maintenance, coordinate service delivery with regulatory standards, and drive continuous improvement to enhance resident wellbeing and sustainability

Qualifications

  • Experience in facilities management, building operations or property services, ideally within residential apartment living or mixed-use environments.
  • Sound understanding of preventative maintenance, contractor management, compliance obligations and essential services operations.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and building risk management practices.
  • Experience managing service contracts, budgets, quotations and operating expenditure.
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and respond effectively to operational issues in a live residential environment.
  • Proficiency in maintenance management systems, work order platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Relevant qualifications in facilities management, building services, property, engineering, trade or a related discipline are desirable.
  • Current driver licence and relevant police and working with children checks.

Job Description

How you'll make an impact

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of a site located in CBD Perth, 219 apartments. The role oversees building maintenance, contractor performance, asset presentation, safety and compliance, budget control and resident service outcomes. This position plays a key role in maintaining a high-quality living environment for residents while protecting the value, performance and reputation of the asset.
