Job summary

Housing Choices Australia is a not-for-profit housing provider committed to safe and affordable homes. The Facilities Manager role oversees CBD Perth operations for 219 apartments, including maintenance, safety, contractor management and budget control, ensuring a high-quality living environment and asset value.

You will lead planned and reactive maintenance, coordinate service delivery with regulatory standards, and drive continuous improvement to enhance resident wellbeing and sustainability

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management, building operations or property services, ideally within residential apartment living or mixed-use environments.
• Sound understanding of preventative maintenance, contractor management, compliance obligations and essential services operations.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements and building risk management practices.
• Experience managing service contracts, budgets, quotations and operating expenditure.
• Ability to prioritise competing demands and respond effectively to operational issues in a live residential environment.
• Proficiency in maintenance management systems, work order platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Relevant qualifications in facilities management, building services, property, engineering, trade or a related discipline are desirable.
• Current driver licence and relevant police and working with children checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of building operations, ensuring facilities, assets and common areas are safe, functional and well-presented.
• Coordinate planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, delivering timely and cost-effective outcomes across the site.
• Manage contractors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety, regulatory and building standards.
• Support capital works, refurbishments and improvement projects, coordinating stakeholders, contractors and project outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement in facilities management, enhancing resident experience, sustainability, operational efficiency and building presentation.
