Job summary

Concept Engineering is seeking a experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to support an automated warehouse in the Western Sydney suburbs. This hands-on role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on conveyor systems and facility equipment to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

You will perform preventative maintenance, read electrical schematics, carry out routine inspections, and respond to breakdowns.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or logistics.
• Ability to diagnose electrical faults and perform repairs.
• Capability to read schematics and mechanical layouts.

Responsibilities

Facilities Maintenance Technician – Automated Warehouse. $60.00 per hour Casual + Shift

Facilities Maintenance Technician - Western Sydney Suburbs, great casual rate with shift, superannuation, weekly pay. Ongoing casual.

Concept Engineering is looking for suitably experienced Maintenance Technician to assist in the day to day running of a busy automated warehouse. This hands‑on role is responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance, preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on facility equipment and conveyor systems. The successful candidate will also support general facilities and operational activities as required to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and electronic maintenance, including replacing motors, contactors, circuit breakers (CBs), sensors, and installing new power points.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and conveyor layouts to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
• Carry out mechanical maintenance, including replacing motors, gearboxes, bearings, rollers, shafts, and conveyor belts.
• Align, tension, and maintain conveyor systems to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), routine inspections, and condition monitoring of plant and equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report equipment issues and recommended improvements.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety policies and electrical standards.
• Work independently to manage maintenance priorities while contributing effectively as part of the maintenance team.
• Support general facilities maintenance and operational activities as required, including assisting with housekeeping, waste management (e.g., emptying cardboard bins into compactors), and other hands‑on tasks.

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within an industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or facilities environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical layouts.
• Sound mechanical knowledge of conveyor systems and rotating equipment.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs and condition monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and effectively manage workload.
• Flexible, hands‑on approach with a willingness to assist across operational and maintenance functions.

Qualifications & Licences

• Electrical Licence (preferred).
• Connect/Disconnect Electrical Equipment Licence (required).
• Relevant trade qualification in Electrical or Electromechanical Maintenance (preferred).
