Job summary

Mayday Recruitment in Western Sydney is seeking a Day Shift Maintenance Electrician for a large-scale food manufacturing site. You will perform electrical maintenance, fault finding and breakdown support across automated production lines, with a focus on minimising downtime and maintaining plant reliability.

This permanent full-time role requires NSW Electrical Licence and industrial electrical experience, PLC fault finding (Omron), VSDs and motors.

Qualifications

• NSW Electrical Licence is required.
• Industrial electrical experience is required.
• PLC fault-finding with basic modifications.
• Experience with VSDs and industrial electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Electrical fault finding across high-speed manufacturing equipment.
• PLC fault finding and basic modifications – Omron focus.
• Fault finding on VSDs, motors, sensors and control systems.
• Preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Support production to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.

• Mon–Fri 6am–2pm
• $55–$58/hr + super
• Saturday & Sunday overtime guaranteed

The Role: Working as the Day Shift Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for electrical maintenance, fault finding and breakdown support across a high-speed food manufacturing facility. You will work across automated production equipment with a focus on minimising downtime and maintaining plant reliability.

Duties include:

• Electrical fault finding across high-speed manufacturing equipment
• PLC fault finding and basic modifications – predominantly Omron
• Fault finding on VSDs, motors, sensors and control systems
• Preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Electrical repairs and troubleshooting
• Installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Supporting production to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability

Requirements:

• Current NSW Electrical Licence
• Previous industrial electrical experience
• PLC fault-finding & basic modifications experience
• Experience working with VSDs and industrial electrical equipment
