Job summary

Playbill Venues in Sydney, Moore Park, is seeking an Event Activation Manager to lead the delivery of event food and beverage services across venues and to supervise pop-up operations. You will ensure compliant performance and manage casual workforce and contracted suppliers to deliver optimal experiences for clients and patrons.

This permanent 38-hour week role requires weekend and public holiday work and reports to the Customer Services Manager.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in a comparable management role.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Excellent customer and client focus.
• Broad understanding of event and food & beverage operations in venues.
• Ability to create and develop opportunities for F&B sales.
• Valid Advanced NSW RSA compliance; able to act as Licensee Representative.
• Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, industry, government and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the F&B department in improving business financial outcomes.
• Supervise and ensure processes are carried out by the operational team.
• Set up and maintain F&B outlets and storage areas.
• Manage event delivery requirements for the F&B department.
• Oversee stock ordering, monitoring and control; monthly stocktake.
• Ensure compliance with NSW Liquor laws and council regulations.
• Identify and manage third party F&B services and suppliers.
• Maximise patron and client satisfaction and safety; produce business reports.
• Uphold Group WHS standards and related procedures; perform other duties as required.
