Job summary

Bupa is seeking an Eyecare Operations Manager in Melbourne to lead a national eyecare footprint across Optical and Hearing clinics. You will drive operational performance, workforce planning and customer experience, partnering with clinical leadership to deliver high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.

Reporting to the COO, you will oversee rostering, capital expenditure and governance, while building high-performing teams and ensuring standards across the network.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-site healthcare or service operations.
• Proven track record in managing dispersed teams and budgets.
• Strong ability to drive customer experience and operational excellence.
• Experience with capital projects, procurement and equipment assets.
• Ability to lead organizational change and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day eyecare performance across Optical & Hearing practices nationally.
• Drive accountability for customer, people, operational and financial outcomes.
• Oversee appointment book management in line with clinical standards.
• Optimize clinician utilisation, patient access and productivity.
• Lead eyecare customer journey execution across practices.
• Contribute to workforce planning and productivity initiatives network-wide.
• Ensure resources align to demand and business needs.
• Establish rostering standards driving efficiency and compliance.
• Build optometrist leadership, engagement and succession pipelines.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, governance and procurement.
• Ensure safe, uninterrupted services and external partnerships.
