JB Hi-Fi Education, part of JB Hi-Fi Business, places ICT Support Technicians in Victorian schools to support the Specialist Technician with Level 1/2 desktop support, basic server tasks, and onsite installations. This entry‑level role is ideal for candidates starting their IT career.

You will provide local notebook support, deploy system images, and contribute to school documentation, while developing advanced technician skills in a supportive education-focused environment.

Qualificações

• Ability to work in a team and solve problems with strong customer service skills.
• Tertiary education in IT is desirable (Min Cert 4 in IT Systems Administration or similar).
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA, ITIL are preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Service Desk Level 1 and Level 2 support as required in line with client needs and general desktop, hardware, software support and troubleshooting
• Assist Specialist Technician in the execution and completion of assigned tasks through to resolution
• Providing local support for the Notebooks for Teachers and Principals Program
• Deployment of system images including packaging, building, testing and updating in live environments
• Contribution to the technical documents of the school
• Participate in on-site installation of the overall system(s), both hardware and software
• Provide basic server administration skills in areas such as password resets, printer queues, backup media and network services and any other responsibilities assigned by the Specialist Technician

Job Description

Partnering with education Institutions around Victoria, JB Education helps place ICT Support Technicians in Victorian schools where they play a key role in supporting the Specialist Technician in providing customers with onsite, level 1 and 2 desktop support, basic server administration services and a high level of customer support. The ICT Support Technician is an entry level role and the perfect opportunity for those looking for their first IT role.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Provide Service Desk Level 1 and Level 2 support as required in line with client needs and general desktop, hardware, software support and troubleshooting
• Assist Specialist Technician in the execution and completion of assigned tasks through to resolution
• Providing local support for the Notebooks for Teachers and Principals Program
• Deployment of system images including packaging, building, testing and updating in live environments
• Contribution to the technical documents of the school
• Participate in on-site installation of the overall system(s), both hardware and software

Your ability to work in a team environment, have a curious mindset towards problem solving and excellent customer service skills will see your success in this role.

You Will Also Ideally Possess

• Tertiary education desirable (Min Cert 4 in IT Systems Administration or similar)
• Certification in technologies defined within the specified solution set (eg. vCLoud, CCNA,CompTIA )
• Industry Certifications as determined applicable (eg. MCSA, ACMT/AciT, ITIL )
• Victorian Working With Children Check (WWCC)
